Days Trough My Phone / Two

*
Oh how long I have been waiting for this storm, for the rain to
rest on leaves. Two days ago I went for an evening run in a heavy rain.
It was one of the most beautiful things I experienced this month. A soft song in my
ears and the cold drops on my skin. Almost no one on the paths, a secret forest
area with tall trees covered in ivy.

I want to take you along with me and my phone over the last week.
Oh, and we will be on vacation to Belgium for 9 days! :)

Before the rain came we had incredible warm days. Now that we have a garden
I look out even more for the weather to know when I have to come and water
all the plants. When I'm there I make sure to sit on the swing under
the hazelnut bush at least once. :) I love that now and then a little light spot
that comes trough the branches touches me.

Under the apple tree are even more patches of light
that remind me of tiny clouds in a brownish sky.

I went on many walks and bike rides trough the park where I spotted one of my
favorite plants growing big already.

Sometimes I walk through our city and want to be more aware of what is
hidden in this path on the side or behind trees, the streets I never go
to and then I just admire all the textures, colors and the nature that grows wild in it.

We also went to a house viewing in this lovely building. A dream of mine was always to live in a brick house. :) It had such nice big white wooden
windows in the hallway that I hoped the flat will be just as nice. Sadly it wasn't really what
we are looking for. I gave up counting on how many flats we looked at so far...
Sadly it's quite hard to find something nice and affordable in our city.
We would love to have a third room, because my office is taking up
almost all of our living room and it can be hard to separate work and daily life.
Especially when you have a cat named Willow that likes paper and
sitting on everything. :) But beside of that we love our flat
for many reasons, even if not everything is perfect here it's
where our home is and can hardly believe someone else
could make it to their own.

I spotted this window on the way there with some nasturtium that was looking
at me so beautifully. I can't wait to see the seeds turning into these interesting shaped
leaves in our garden. (Because I couldn't resist sowing them. They have a yummy taste too!)

More brick walls & more plants. Because you need them in your life too. :)

I started to write down all the things I want to see and go to
+ all the amazing tips you shared with me (Thank you so much!!)  in my little travel notebook
for Belgium. Would you be interested in a little guide when I come back?
Of course Willow decided to sleep right there.

Also enjoyed baking rhubarb cake with lots of crumble. I had some dough
left, stored it in the fridge and made some blueberry rolls of it.
They actually were even better than the cake! Especially with some fresh mint tea. :)

More days and evenings in the garden! I picked my first bigger flower bouquet that is
still on our kitchen table. Beside the peony that lost all it's petals some days ago...

Oh hey hey! It's me waiting for our hummus, baba ganoush and delicous bread.

Then it was time to prepare a batch of orders and taking them to the post office.
Of course in my beloved basket and on my forest green bike. :)

Yesterday I also took some pictures of my workspace and storage area
for a little interview I did for a beautiful brand.
They hired me to do some illustrations for them and wanted
to share a little more about the person behind this project. How nice!

And here we are at the end of this week. I was awake
almost all night and had to get my blood tested very early in the morning.
I don't mind being up early though. :) The streets are quiet, I saw lovely plants
behind the parking lots, birds drink and bath quietly in puddles
under the trees.

Days trough my phone / Two

Hello you! I know, the last time I took you on
a little journey trough the archieves of my phone is almost a year ago. But here I am
again! Sharing a few moments here and there from the past weeks of June I recorded with
my phone.

It all started with these ingredients that made the most delicious hazelnut
blueberry cake, but they also were the reason why our little cat Willow
needed a surgery and felt really bad... He accidentally ate a hazelnut
that didn't wanted to come out. :(

After terrible nights and days and hours and minutes of worrying if
this little guy will make it he is all fine now! :') Just a huge scar on his tummy
were furr is already growing again reminds us about it now.

The morning before all this happened we were still walking happily over
a plant market in the botanical garden with a friend. Here I met some
of my favorite plants again! Look at those shapes, structures and colors!

I also went on a morning run to my favorite place, where everything was
overgrown now and filled with a warm magical light.

We had our first summery snacks such as watermelon, red currants and
cherries which were just as good as I remember from last summer!

On a Sunday we also went to visit gardens in our city that
open once a year! A little post dedicated to that is prepared and will
be here soon! :)

I helped out at a film school project which was very exciting!
We had the hottest days so far on this project week tough and this is
a photo from the last day where I was admiring the beautiful shadows
of the school windows. Being back in a pretty old school building
made me kind of wanting to go back to school again for a while.

When I had some free afternoons I went outside
and made cold drinks such as a strawberry milkshake that looks
much cuter here than it actually tasted...

But the cashew falafel we made were super good!

Willow started to jump on every high thing and our bed again because
his scar stopped hurting. I missed cuddeling him like this.

The heat wave transformed into a rain wave! And of course we needed to do
many errands when the rain came. But we had our big umbrella and each other. :)

But after rain comes sun and with it evening walks where
we found cherries and sundays where we made cake out of it!

And here I am now. It's July already!

My week in pictures - two

+
I once made a little post about my week with pictures from my phone
and because you liked it I thought why not give it another try
by also including pictures from my camera.
+

So here we start with Sunday the 9th of January
where Florian & I had our second little shooting for the concept store
in our town ( a few photos as a little preview for you!).
Luckily we could shoot in front of this little cabin I absolutely fell in love with.

A little kiss when we finished our project! ; )

On our way back home it started to snow so intense and beautifully, but we almost couldn't
feel our feet anymore..
We enjoyed some warming dinner at his parents and walked home late at
night on the empty streets and in the park all covered in snow... Oh how I missed
all this white everywhere! : )

Monday: The next day started very calm with sleeping long,
eating grapefruits and admiring
these beautiful bouquet of flowers. : )

Preparing orders while Willow took a nap next to me

And edited the pictures from yesterday's shoot before we went out to
run some errands in the city

But Willow woke up and didn't really wanted us to go ; )
... but we had to!

We went on a little date at our favorite Burger bar

And walked to the post office to send out all orders from the weekend

we also bought some fruits, because we both were in the mood of it after this big burger lunch, hehe! ; )

They finally had bloodoranges in the stores ( one of my favorite fruits) so I was excited to enjoy one with a cup of
warm peppermint tea and our new candle in bed.

Tuesday:
The next morning also started with fruits, but in yoghurt and granola this time, sticker cutting
for the shop on the side

And with little Willow wanting breakfast too ( always with these beautiful big amber eyes : ) )

Then we decided to go for a long walk in the snowy forest that turned into a pretty
lovely adventure!

Of course I forgot my hat so I had to use my scarf instead. ; )

The open fields full of snow invited us to make the most wonderful
snow angel couple, hehe!

We also had some tea with us

then we arrived at the most beautiful sunny spot!

Back home we made delicious summer rolls ( not very suitable to the weather tough ;) )
with peanut sauce!

I answered letters, had more tea

and also baked a little bread for dinner!

Wednesday:
The next day also started with baking, but this
time with something a little sweeter!

It was this cozy type of day and Willow enjoyed that too! : )

I also finally got my film developed so I spent my evening scanning and editing, preparing
blog posts and working for my shop

Thursday:
was a little more adventurous and full of yummy food! But it seems like
most of my pitures on this post here are food related! ; )

Then I prepared many many orders

... And also letters while Florian made lunch for us! curry this time! : )

I continued wrapping all orders before we went to the post office and had a nice walk
trough our city that was still covered in snow -  at least a little!

The it was time for food again! Waffles with cherries for me
and cream cheese tarte with cranberries for my boy, mhh!

We also spent some time at the antique store and I found three beautiful things!

Just before we went to see La La Land with lots
of tears and laughter.

Friday:
was also a cozy one!

I prepared lunch for my dear friend and her little baby that visited us for lunch and the afternoon

Willow was also interested in watching me cutting the vegetables! ; ) The rest of the day I spent working on new things, that's
why I forgot to record any of it with my camera...

Saturday:

started with these beautiful flowers. It's nice when the post man thinks it's your birthday! ; )

Florian had to work all day so I decided to walk to the second hand shop to look
after some glass for hyazinths.
But then it started to rain and to snow so I tried to cover
myself with all I had: my scarf. : )

And! There was a letter from Anna in my post box that took almost
one month to arrive.  I tried to read it on my walk, but
it was too snowy so I saved it for my tram ride home. :)

Happily I found some nice jars so I went on buying the flowers and had to resist buying
more than I planned.

Back home I warmed some soup and put the flowers in the jars. I love how it looks!

I was in such a cozy mood that I decided to bake some chocolate
chip cookies. They turned out fine, but I haven't found the perfect recipe yet. Any tips?

Eating the cookies in bed will be the last picture of this post,
because then I wrapped orders until late at night.
I hope you enjoyed these little moments and
I would love to hear your thoughts
about it!

Let's have another good week!
